Milan educator earns 'Teacher of the Month'

Kris Clark has taught at the school for 25 years

(MILAN, Ind.) – A Milan teacher is being recognized as the “Teacher of the Month” on The 812.

The monthly initiative is presented by Napoleon State Bank and local educators can be nominated by emailing news@812now.com

Milan third grade teacher Kris Clark received numerous nominations.

She has made a remarkable impact on all students and has gone above and beyond in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for the last 25 years she has worked at Milan. The one thing that I think makes her stand out is her ability to connect with her students and do fun activities with them,” one person who nominated Clark said.

Clark plants a garden every year and has unique science experiments for the third graders. She also volunteers countless hours with several organizations.

Kris was surprised by Napoleon State Bank, The 812 and her family members on Friday.

She received a large banner that will be on display in her classroom for the next month. The banner travels school-to-school for the Teacher of the Month segment.
