Now, the teenager is taking the next step in the music industry by signing a record contract.

Holt signed with Baste Records in Nashville on Thursday. The 812 was there to capture the accomplishment and celebration.

Baste Records is led by executive Chris Wallin who is a hit songwriter. He has written the songs "Don't Blink" by Kenny Chesney along with Montgomery Gentry's "My Town" and "Something To Be Proud Of."

Milan native Jamie Johnson of the Grascals stopped by during the record signing. Johnson is a friend of Wallin's and connected Holt with the label.
