Items were collected on Friday
(MILAN, Ind.) – Milan Schools stepped up in a big way for the less fortunate.
The school system held a donation drive where students brought in canned good and other non-perishables for a local food pantry.
The school collected 2,246 food items and also raised $208 in monetary donations.
At the elementary school, the winning classroom received an ice cream party. One kindergartner took it upon herself to collect a large amount of food items. Read here.
