Milan senior gets Hole in One during match

Updated: Apr 18

His first one ever

Helton picks up his hole in one ball

(VEVAY, Ind.) – Milan senior Jacob Helton played a round of golf he will never forget on Tuesday night.

Helton and his Indian teammates were at Belterra Golf Club in Vevay for a match against Switzerland County and Jac-Cen-Del.

He was teeing off on the second hole when he eyed the flag that was about 155 yards away.

“I hit it a little to the left and it started fading back toward the hole. I looked at my teammates and said this could be really good,” Helton told The 812.

Another Milan golfer also noticed the ball’s trajectory and Helton recalled that teammate's wide-eyed expression.

“He threw his hands up in the air. I asked did it actually go in? And he said yes,” Helton recalled.

Helton let his teammates hit their shots before throwing his hands up in the air and screaming.

“I ran up to the hole to check if it was in and it was in! I picked it up and held it up in the air,” he said.

This was his first hole-in-one ever and he says it is a feeling he will never forget.

“I just can’t stop smiling,” he said.

The Milan golf team also found success behind Helton as they cruised to an easy victory over the Pacers and Eagles.
