Music Boosters gifts $6K to BHS Choir for uniforms

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Batesville Music Boosters is giving the Batesville High School choir a $6,000 donation.

The funds will be used to purchase new choir uniforms for upcoming competitions.

Batesville Music Boosters treasurer Sarah Obermeyer says the non-profit is proud to invest in the future of the program.

“This donation helps bridge a financial gap, allowing the choir to compete on a more equal footing with other programs,” she said.

Choir Director Dan Borns echoed this sentiment. "The Batesville Music Boosters have consistently championed our students. This substantial gift will allow us to address the challenges we've faced with a growing choir. New uniforms will not only improve our visual presentation but also boost the students' confidence and sense of unity."

The Music Boosters is dedicated to leveling the playing field for all Batesville Community School Corporation music programs. They have a long history of supporting students by providing access to quality equipment, educational opportunities, and performance experiences that enrich their lives beyond the classroom.
