National Guard soldiers surprise North Vernon boy

The boy exclaimed, "Army men are coming to my lemonade stand!"

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) -- Several National Guard soldiers recently deployed to an unexpected location... A lemonade stand in Jennings County.

7-year-old Tucker Worton was selling lemonade at his North Vernon home when a soldier drove by on Friday.

That soldier was driving to the National Guard Armory which is located near Tucker's house.

Tucker's mom says the soldier told other National Guard members about the stand and they decided to walk to his house and surprise him.

"Army men are coming to my lemonade stand," Tucker exclaimed when he saw the soldiers coming.

There were 16 soldiers who stopped by for a cold glass of lemonade. Here's a photo:

It made Tucker's day and his mom says he's very appreciative of the National Guard visitors along with all of the customers who stopped by.

He will host his lemonade stand again from 12-4 p.m. this Saturday at his house.
