Trenkamp and Muckerheide also elected to district roles
(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- North Decatur's Blaine Wagner was one of only seven Indiana students elected as a State FFA Officer for this coming school year.
Wagner will serve as Vice President of the Southern Region.
He wasn't the only North Decatur FFA member who earned praise during the state convention last week.
Vincent Trenkamp was elected as Section 4 Director and Arden Muckerheide was selected as District 12 President.
Muckerheide will oversee the District 12 team which will consist of the following officers:
Rhea Miller of Batesville
Emily Miller of Switzerland Co.
Ellie Shuter of South Dearborn
Kyatalin Baker of Switzerland Co.
Michelle Hoffrogge of Milan
Some other notable accomplishments by North Decatur FFA at the state convention included:
Jessa Wagner was named state champion in freshman prepared public speaking.
Addie Gauck placed first for proficiency in Agricultural Sales Entrepreneurship.
Blaine Wagner was also named state champion in the Leadership Ambassador category.
Their Agribusiness Team placed 2nd overall in the state.
Blaine Wagner was the second place runner-up in Agriscience Research - Integrated Systems.
North Decatur had five Hoosier Degrees recipients: Caraline Reynolds, Lizzie Fisse, Arden Muckerheide, Vincent Trenkamp and Addie Gauck.
Plus, their Chapter Meeting team received their plaque for placing 4th in the state earlier this year.
