Students can attend Notre Dame Summer Scholars program
(OLDENBURG, Ind.) -- Oldenburg Academy students will have the opportunity to study for free during a two-week summer session at Notre Dame.
The program is made possible by a grant from the Lilly Foundation. Students get the chance to select the course they want to study which can range from law, public speaking, criminal justice to film production.
Last summer, eight OA students were selected to attend the program.
They were Ava Henry, Christian Mack, Ainsley Sipples, Thomas Lohmuller, Kloie Lehman, Lauren Richards, Kenlee Martin and Dominic Yane.
Senior Lauren Richards took the “Gender and Culture in American Society” course.
“I still chat with my friends from the class daily. My Notre Dame experience was great and I could not have made a better choice taking that class,” Richards said.
The program will take place next June in South Bend.
