Pursuit began just east of Penntown
(ST. LEON, Ind.) – One person is in custody after a high-speed police chase in Southeast Indiana on Saturday night.
The pursuit took place on I-74 and started around 7:45 p.m. after an Indiana State Trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle just east of Penntown.
The driver allegedly didn’t stop and speeds reached 100 miles-per-hour in the eastbound lanes.
According to dispatchers, the driver took the St. Leon exit and police were able to take one man into custody around 8:05 p.m.
A female passenger was also in the car and she was released from the scene.
