One killed in New Year's Day crash in Greensburg

Happened on State Road 3

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on New Year’s Day.

The accident happened around 11 a.m. on State Road 3 near the overpass of Interstate 74.

Investigators say a pickup truck driven by 64-year-old Raymond Lecher struck a concrete median, rolled over, and came to a rest in the southbound lanes of State Road 3. 

Lecher was rushed to Decatur County Memorial Hospital where he later passed away from his injuries. 

The Greensburg Police Department conducted the investigation and they were assisted by the Indiana State Police, Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Decatur County Communications, Greensburg Fire, Decatur County EMS and the Decatur County Coroner’s Office.
