Osgood cafe collecting donations for hurricane victims

They will deliver donations

(OSGOOD, Ind.) – An Osgood coffee shop wants to pack semis full of supplies for the victims of Hurricane Helene.

The Upper Room Cafe is currently collecting donations at their Osgood cafe at 721 South Tanglewood Road in Osgood.

They plan to bring at least one semi from Southeast Indiana to North Carolina on October 11.

“Our friends on the ground are working tirelessly in places where help is scarce, and the emotional toll is heavy. Please pray for them, as many have had to return due to the overwhelming devastation and things they have seen,” the cafe said.

Organizers added that the need is immense and they are providing a list of the most-needed donations:

• Food (shelf-stable, pop-top cans preferred)

• Bottled water

• Baby items (diapers, wipes, formula)

• Hygiene products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, feminine products)

• Blankets

• First aid supplies

• Cleaning supplies (bleach, trash bags, gloves)

• Flashlights and batteries

• Can Openers

• Chewable Benadryl

• First Aid Kits

• Dog/Cat Food

•  Mosquito Repellent
