Gives students business experience
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- Students will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience at running a business at the Southeastern Career Center in Versailles.
Plus, they will also learn how to make coffee, tea and other drinks!
The Upper Room Cafe in Osgood has opened a satellite office at the career center which will be led by the students, as a way for them to develop different job skills, money skills, and customer service.
It will operate two days a week and a portion of the proceeds go directly to the Southeastern Career Center.
This is the second satellite location for Upper Room who has a similar initiative in operation at Jac-Cen-Del.
Upper Room is owned by Ken and Charlotte MacPhee and recently celebrate their fifth business anniversary. Their located at 721 S. Tanglewood Road in Osgood.
The Southeastern Career Center welcomes students from 11 different school districts and offers 17 programs.
