PD: Drunk woman drives to police station in Columbus

Police: Driver became aggressive and assaulted deputies

(COLUMBUS, Ind.) -- A woman is facing charges after she allegedly drove to the police station in Columbus.

Bartholomew County deputies say a vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the jail around 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

A deputy said the driver, 58-year-old Stephanie Horn, got out of the car and staggered toward his police car.

After talking with her, police believed she was drunk and attempted to put her in handcuffs.

She allegedly became aggressive and kicked one of the deputies.

Horn was taken to the hospital where she kicked another deputy in the shoulder, police said.

She had a blood alcohol content of 0.165, more than double the legal limit of .08, according to the sheriff's department.

Horn was later booked into the Bartholomew County Jail on charges of OWI, reckless driving, resisting law enforcement, battery on a law enforcement officer and public intoxication.
