Also visits local school to read to students
(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A famous children’s author spent the day in Greensburg on Tuesday.
Laura Numeroff wrote ‘To Give A Mouse A Cookie’ in 1985 and it led to a long series of books.
She held a book signing at the Greensburg library and hundreds of people stood in line for an opportunity to meet her.
Earlier in the day, she stopped by Greensburg Elementary and spoke with students about her career and also read her famous book.
There were also more than 1,100 books donated to students at Greensburg Elementary and St. Mary’s Catholic School
The massive book donation was made possible by community sponsors Rex and Robin McKinney, The Napoleon State Bank , Greensburg Rotary Club, St. Mary's Alumni and Friends Association, and Greensburg Elementary PTO.
