Chad Gutzwiller gives Friday update to winter storm threat

Forecasters eyeing Sunday morning for arrival

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Chad Gutzwiller is providing an update to the winter storm threat this weekend. 

A Winter Storm Threat has been issued which will go into effect Sunday morning and last through Monday evening.

How much snow could you see? Chad Gutzwiller with Weather Wave says it’s a bit too early to even guess, but added this could be the most significant weather event we've seen in five years.

"Remember that this is an evolving storm and adjustments will be made as we get closer.  I am still careful with my thinking on amounts and will clarify as we get closer," he said.

"For now, know that a major winter storm is coming with varied precipitation elements (especially along/south of the Ohio River).  Furthermore, the track is still being worked out resulting a shift of the bands on the map," he added.
