Updated: Aug 2, 2023

College students can earn internship credits

(RISING SUN, Ind.) -- Interested in a career in wildlife or have a passion for helping animals?

Red Wolf Sanctuary is seeking interns and volunteers for this fall.

The sanctuary can offer internship credit for universities and volunteer hours.

"Our program includes learning skills related to animal husbandry, wildlife rehabilitation, landscaping, educational outreach, and construction and maintenance of animal enclosures," the sanctuary said.

Red Wolf was founded with the mission of preserving and continuing the existence of North American wildlife while educating the community.

Animals that reside there include wolves, bears, foxes, coyotes, bobcats and birds.

Every year Red Wolf Sanctuary rehabs and releases hundreds of native animals. Since the Sanctuary's beginning in 1979 they have saved thousands of animals.
