Ripley, Decatur lifts burn bans on Tuesday

Were issued due to dry conditions last week

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Ripley and Decatur counties have lifted their burn bans as rain moves into the area. 

The burn bans were issued last week due to fears of fires going out of control due to the drought. 

Burn bans remain in effect in Franklin, Dearborn, Switzerland and Ohio counties as of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

Rain is moving through the area this week with thunderstorms possible tonight.
