Rising Sun Tourism accepting Santa letters

Kids likely to get response from Santa if mailed by Dec. 12

(RISING SUN, Ind.) -- Want to make sure your child's letter gets to Santa?

The Ohio County Tourism Office has direct mailing service to the North Pole and parents can take advantage of it this year.

You can place the child's letter in the red mailbox at the visitors center which is located at 217 N. High Street in Rising Sun.

The deadline to drop off letters is Tuesday, December 12.

Santa requires that all letters have a name and return address if the sender wishes to receive a response.

Letters received earlier than December 12 are more likely to receive a response before Christmas, although cannot be guaranteed because of high volumes of mail processed over the holidays.

No postage is necessary for letters placed in the special red mailbox at the High Street location. Letters sent by the United States Postal Service to the Visitors Center will require a first class stamp and should be addressed to Santa Claus, c/o Ohio County Tourism, PO Box 112, Rising Sun, IN 47040.

Kids can write letters on their own paper or pickup Santa forms at the Visitors Center or by clicking here.

Get more information by calling Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism at (812) 438-4933 or by emailing kendal@enjoyrisingsun.com.
