(RUSHVILLE, Ind. ) -- Rushville football claimed their first-ever outright EIAC Conference title on Friday.
The Lions cruised to a 58-0 win over Greensburg to cap off the regular season.
The school's first-ever football conference championship happens during head coach Isaac Sliger's fourth year at the helm.
Rushville senior Carter Barnes spoke with The 812 Friday night about the Coach Sliger.
"He knew that we needed to go into this game at our peak and not take this game lightly. That’s exactly what we did, we worked together as a team and picked each other up when we made mistakes and finished the season strong with a conference championship win," Barnes said.
Rushville will travel to Brookville to face Franklin County in the first round of the sectionals this coming Friday.
