Open to females interested in non-traditional careers
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The Southeastern Career Center will welcome young girls who are interested in careers that have been traditionally male-dominated.
The career center will host the sixth annual Fearless Female open house on Friday, March 8.
SCC serves 11 schools in Southeast Indiana and offers 17 different programs.
To register, the student must see their home school counselor.
They will be interactive in the following programs: Auto Services, Building Trades, Diesel, Electrical, Heavy Equipment, Precision Machine and Welding.
“This exposes young women to non-traditional and STEM-related pathways. We will provide goodies, prizes, lunch and T-shirts to the attendees,” said Student Service Coordinator Amy Solly.
