Several deer shot in Aurora Tuesday 

Happened on Dutch Hollow Road

(AURORA, Ind.) – Conservation officers are investigating after several deer were discovered shot and killed this morning. 


It happened along Dutch Hollow Road in the Aurora area. Investigators believe it happened between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. today. 


Deer have been found from the area of the stop sign near the firehouse all the way over to Woodys on the other end,” Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry said. 


Anyone with information is urged to contact area law enforcement or the DNR.


Indiana’s deer hunting season hasn’t started yet. Youth Season begins this weekend while archery starts October 1 and Adult Firearm begins November 16.
