Hillenbrand Partner With Possibilities grant
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Six Batesville organizations are receiving funding through the Hillenbrand Partner With Possibilities grant.
Hillenbrand announced in 2023 that they would commit $200,000 to the Batesville community through the Partner With Possibility Fund, with $50,000 distributed each year through 2026.
“We at Hillenbrand understand how integral these organizations are to Batesville and Ripley County, so we are excited to support these important initiatives that align with our Purpose while investing these funds back into the community,” said Kim Ryan, President and CEO of Hillenbrand. “We look forward to seeing the positive impacts these organizations make for residents throughout the community.”
During the review process, Hillenbrand and Ripley County Community Foundation looked for initiatives that align with the company’s partnership strategy and keystone pillars, including in the areas of health and safety; diversity, equity, and inclusion; education and trade skills; and benefit to the environment.
The 2024 Hillenbrand Partner With Possibility grant recipients are:
Kids Discovery Factory ($10,000): This grant will support the Kids Discovery Factory’s mission to spark curiosity and ignite a passion for learning in children through interactive exhibits and educational programs.
Batesville Community School Corporation ($10,000): This grant will support the Batesville High School Student Wellness Center by creating space to empower students with tools and techniques for managing stress, building resilience and enhancing wellbeing.
New Horizons Rehabilitation ($10,000): This grant will be used for the New Horizons Rehabilitation’s Third Place, which will introduce recreational equipment facilitating social interaction and community engagement for workshops, support groups and recreational events.
Batesville Main Street ($7,608): This grant will assist Batesville Main Street in its ongoing efforts to revitalize downtown Batesville, fostering a vibrant community hub.
Servants at Work ($7,392): This grant will support Servants at Work’s mission to build ramps on the homes of disabled individuals in Batesville, promoting greater independence and accessibility.
Safe Passage ($5,000): This grant will be used to offset the cost to update the HVAC system for the shelter. By replacing the equipment, this will reduce safety hazards and improve the air quality by having a better air filtration and purification system.
“This partnership with Hillenbrand exemplifies the power of collaboration,” said Amy Streator, Executive Director at the Ripley County Community Foundation. “By working together, we can achieve great things for our community, and we are honored to be able to distribute these funds to such deserving organizations.”
