Local forecaster shares what to expect
(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – The morning commute could be slippery in some spots in Southeast Indiana.
A winter weather advisory was issued due to the threat of freezing rain overnight Monday and into Tuesday.
Chad Gutzwiller is a Franklin County teacher who uses his passion for meteorology to operate the popular Weather Wave Facebook page.
“This is not a major ice storm, you won’t see the ice build up on power lines and trees, it will be more on the surface,” Gutzwiller said.
He does encourage people to use caution while driving or walking on sidewalks Tuesday morning.
“Keep it in mind that there may be a few areas that are slick, watch the overpasses, exit ramps, the backroads,” he added.
