(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – St. Louis School cheerleaders spent time giving back to young students this week.
A cheer camp for kindergartners through fourth graders was held on Monday and Tuesday, where current SLS cheerleaders taught choreography skills.
The young girls then joined the Cheer team in front of a full gym to perform in between the fifth and sixth grade games on Wednesday night.
The clinic was taught by Mari Mause, along with her daughter, Grace.
“There aren't many camps around here so it meant a lot to provide this to St. Louis students,” Grace Mause said. “It was nice to see our girls working together and also building relationships with the younger generation who were certainly excited about the camp.”
The St. Louis Cheer program is entirely funded by parents. The team not only cheers on the Cardinals, but gets involved in school activities such as building floats for parades.
