Some fall festivals in Southeast Indiana

(SOUTHEAST INDIANA) – The weather is cooling off and fall is arriving in Southeast Indiana. Here is a list of some popular attractions in our area this time of year. 


ColorFall - Perfect North Slopes

Light displays and illuminated jack o’lanterns will welcome visitors as they make their way around the lake at Perfect North Slopes. It takes every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until November 2. Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a fall wonderland featuring: massive LED-lit trees, fall scenes, Halloween displays, and more! Get more information by clicking here. 


Fall Festival - Greensburg (Oct 11-13)

The RE/MAX Towner Highpoint Fall Festival presented by O’Mara Foods takes place October 11-13. It features three days of fun including a Kids Zone, more than 30 vendors, apples, pumpkins, trolley rides, food trucks and music. Tickets are not required and you can learn more here. 


Jacob Scare Haunted Woods - Versailles

The Jacob Scare takes place at 3530 E. Olean Road in Versailles. It starts on October 5 and occurs from 8-11 p.m. every Saturday night in October. Learn more by clicking here.


Vogt Farm - Batesville

The 29th annual Pumpkin Festival at Vogt Farm features pumpkin picking, horse-drawn trolley rides, mums, petting zoo and pony rides and much more. It is free admission and free parking to attend.

Haunted Metamora 

Wander the village of Metamora this month for frightful nights of ghosts and ghouls. You'll start with a hay ride through the village and then be escorted throughout town. Beware, the hauntings can creep out from anywhere. It takes place every weekend beginning October 14. Learn more here.


Whitetail Acres - Brookville (Oct 11/ 12) 

The annual Fall Fest takes place this weekend at Whitetail Acres in Brookville. It features hay rides, costume and pumpkin painting, vendors, bounce house, fall items and much more. Learn more by clicking here. 


Drip Paint Pumpkins - Batesville (Oct. 14) 

Tween/Teen Drip Paint Pumpkins at Liberty Park on October 14. It is hosted by the Batesville library and welcomes kids age 12-18. Registration is required and you can learn more here.


Fall-O-Ween - Rising Sun (Oct. 18) 

The free event takes place Ohio County Tourism Visitors Center on Friday, October 18. Rising Sun senior Kiera Otter will perform music and there will be pumpkin bowling, hayrides, crafts, and a Scarecrow Decorating Contest. It takes from 4-7 p.m. and you can get more information here.


Sleepy Hollow Haunted Car Show - Vevay (Oct. 12) 

The 2024 Sleepy Hollow Car show will be held on Saturday October 12, 2024 at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Downtown Vevay, Indiana.  The car show will be held from 10 am - 4 pm.  In addition, the Racing Performance Museum will be open on Saturday.  See cars of Mario Andretti, Rick Mears, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Al Unser, Jr. and more! 100% of car show registrations will be donated to the Switzerland County Food Bank. Spooktacular Family Fun Day - Batesville (Oct. 19)

There will be Halloween Crafts, Halloween Costume contest and Trunk or Treat at Romweber Marketplace on Saturday, October 19. It starts at 11 a.m. with the crafts, costume contest at noon, and trunk or treat from 1-3 p.m. Get more information here.
