(WESTPORT, Ind.) -- The 2023-24 Lady Cougars continued their season Thursday with a win against Hauser, 45-23.

They were without guard Kiley Best, who was sitting out with a concussion she had sustained playing against Greensburg.

Overall, the Lady Cougars have had a very successful season so far.

They are led by senior Molly Eden, as well juniors Kiley Best and Makayla Somers.

Junior Paige McQueen and senior Brayley Sundal are also solid contributors to the squad. They began their season with a 4-0 record, before losing four out of the last seven games played, giving them a 7-4 total record.

They had a great win against reigning sectional champion Jac-Cen-Del, but lost 32-33 against Oldenburg by a buzzer beater.

The other games lost have also been close to the wire games, besides a rough game against a tough Greensburg team. Their next game is at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at home against the Union County Lady Patriots.
