Toured various school classrooms and programs on Friday
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- U.S. Representative Erin Houchin stopped in Versailles to visit with students and staff at South Ripley Schools on Friday.
Rep. Houchin represents Indiana's 9th Congressional District and serves on three congressional committees including The House Education & Workforce Committee.
During her visit, the congresswoman visited two STEM classrooms at South Ripley Elementary. She also observed the school's MILO program, which assists students on the autism spectrum in the classroom.
The congresswoman also sat in on a Science of Reading lesson, met South Ripley's JAG state officer, and spoke with school administrators about current and future initiatives.
"It was a fantastic visit and we thank Rep. Houchin for taking time out of her busy schedule to visit South Ripley," said South Ripley Superintendent Rob Moorhead.
