The Cougars are hoping to surprise a lot of people in 2023. The young team will certainly rely on running back Corbin Johnson to have another historic season. Last year, Johnson was among the topping rushers in Class 1A football.
Some key players that graduated from last year include Rhett Martin, Riley Amrhein, Avery Seegers and Brady Lane
In addition to Johnson, some Cougars that will be back on the field include Tyler Bishop, Toby Bishop, Alex Myers , Isaac Gasper and Ian Amrhein.
Head coach Rodney Martin says the team's goal this season is to stay healthy.
"If we can manage the season with good health, we will be a much improved team this season. We were very young last season and dealt with some injuries. If we stay healthy, we will build off a solid season last year and be much improved," Martin said.
