Happened Thursday night
(ST. LEON, Ind.) – This is Steven Harmeyer and I love covering stories that reflect the wonderful culture and people right here in Southeast Indiana.
Have you ever heard of those times when an unsuspecting customer has their meal paid for by the person ordering ahead of them?
That sort of scenario happened to me while I was covering a few stories at East Central High School on Thursday night.
I had some downtime and decided to grab dinner at the Subway in St. Leon.
There were two people ahead of me with a man getting ready to pay for his order. The woman behind him received a surprise when he offered to pay for her meal as well.
Then to my surprise, he stuck around to cover mine too.
When asked why he was doing this his response was, “Because I felt like doing something nice.”
His name is Brad and lives in that area, but did not want any special attention for it.
I just wanted to take a moment to shine a light on someone doing something nice for others without ever expecting anything from it. Never hurts to do something nice for a stranger!
