ILEARN and SAT scores
(ST. LEON. Ind.) – Students at Sunman-Dearborn Schools are showing significant gains on state assessments, including the Indiana Learning Evaluation Assessment Readiness Network (ILEARN) and the SAT.
In the recent ILEARN assessments, the district's scores surpassed state averages, are the highest in the county and among the highest in the area, showcasing substantial improvements in both English Language Arts and Mathematics.
"Our latest state assessment results can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, staff, and students," said Superintendent Dr. Andrew Jackson. "By concentrating on core instruction and aligning our curriculum, we are seeing tangible results that benefit our entire school community."
The latest strategic plan, launched last year, emphasizes targeted professional development for teachers, the integration of research-based best practices, and the continuous assessment of student progress. This comprehensive approach ensures that every student receives the support they need to succeed academically.
Dr. Jackson continued, "We will continue to build on this momentum, striving for even greater achievements in the years to come. Together, we are creating a learning environment where every student can thrive."
Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools remain dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering an environment that promotes academic excellence. The district looks forward to continued success and growth as it implements its strategic plan and supports its students in achieving their full potential.
