Traveling river circus to coming to area

(RISING SUN, Ind.) – A traveling circus that is floating down the Ohio River will dock in Ohio and Switzerland counties. 

The Flotsam River Circus is a group of musicians, puppeteers and artists who travel on a raft and offer free performances to Ohio River towns. 

It will dock at the Rising Sun Riverfront for a 6 p.m. show on Tuesday, September 10.

It will then travel downstream for a show at the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 11. 

These are free shows but donations are appreciated to keep it afloat. 

The traveling circus began last month in Pittsburgh and will end in Paducah, Kentucky on September 29. Last year it conducted the circus on the Mississippi River.
