Bodies found days after fire occurred
(FRIENDSHIP, Ind.) – The remains of two people have been recovered from a burned structure near Friendship on Wednesday night.
Officials say the structure fire occurred several days prior in a remote area of Friendship.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office and Friendship Volunteer firefighters were called to the location on Wednesday due to two people being unaccounted for.
Firefighters and cadaver dogs spent hours searching the property before two bodies were discovered Wednesday night.
The remains were transported to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office for autopsies.
The identity of either victim has not been released and the fire remains under investigation.
