Happened early Thursday
(MADISON, Ind.) – Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in Jefferson County.
The incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. on North Bulldog Drive in the rural community of Smyrna, which is northwest of Madison.
The person who called 9-1-1 told authorities that he shot two men who had broken into his home.
27-year-old Dalton Skirvin and 29-year-old Kaleb Skirvin, both of Madison, were killed in the shooting.
It has not been made immediately clear what relation, if any, Dalton and Kaleb are to each other.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation and added that they do not believe there is any immediate danger or risk to the public.
