Davis was arrested after months-long investigation

(VEVAY, Ind.) -- A Vevay police officer is behind bars accused of Child Exploitation and Voyeurism.

37-year-old Kyle Davis, of Madison, was arrested following a months-long investigation by Madison Police Detective Shawn Scudder.

Madison Police say Davis attempted to video record an underage victim without her knowledge.

According to court documents, the Dearborn County High Tech Crimes Unit conducted a forensic exam of Davis' phone where they allegedly found searches for "voyeurism", "spycam" and "teen sex".

Davis was sworn in to the Vevay Police Department in March, according to a Facebook post made by the agency.

He is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.

The Child Exploitation charge is a level 5 felony and Voyeurism is a level six felony.
