Accused of fleeing from police

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A Westport man is accused of leaving the scene of a crash in Jennings County.
Authorities say the accident happened on State Highway 3 and County Road 675 North around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses said the man was walking away from the crash scene on State Highway 3 and walked into the woods.
Deputies say they found the driver, 31-year-old Bradley Lovingood, of Westport, in the woods.
Lovingood allegedly fled on foot. Police say the foot chase also involved the utilization of a taser before he was taken into custody.
After being evaluated at the hospital, Lovingood was booked into the Jennings County Jail on suspicion of OWI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Resisting Law Enforcement.
